From books written by JRR Tolkien; tales of Hobbits, the Shire, Mordor, and the evil Sauron, lirked in the corners of imaginations around the world. 

And then came the movies....
The long awaited event, the great happiness, and the final let down.

For those that had read Tolkiens tales, the movies were simply a video face of those loved tales that was etched out to give life to the written word.

For new Tolkien adventurers the LOTR's movie set was a very long, drawn out, war movie from an imagined world.

Yet in the hearts of all, there they were - the Tolkien tales in living colour.

For those that loved the tales of Tolkien these movies spurred a new begininng, a template for future tales, and a character reference for generations to come.

Around the world today young up and coming movie makers are finding Tolkien fan groups, and when paired together these formations are producing the rest of the story, the untold Tolkien tales.

The first of these, to my knowledge, was the rendition called The Hunt for Gollum. 

The Hunt for Gollum fills in a small part of the LOTR's tale in which it develops the Tolkien tales just a little further so that other similar movies can continue on with and complete the fuller tale that the Lord of the Rings was.

Coming along soon is another tale stemming from the LOTR's series - Born of Hope. 

The movie industry has indeed found a niche within the tales of Tolkien. These once and still loved books were not discarded because of the corporate nature of movie making, but were rather rediscovered, imaginations were rekindled, and a new era of fim making began.

Today we look forward to more stories from JRR Tolkien's Middle Earth and perhaps a whole new era in movie watching has begun.
